Tarucian say ‘Yes’ to Sheffield Hallam University

According to Andrew Bromley(32,from Wakefield), from International Student Support said ‘This year in 2013, we have a record number that Taruc student at Sheffield Hallam, almost 1300 in total just from that from one college, but over the year had gradually increase. Last year we have about 1100, when I first came six years ago, there was maybe six or five hundred.’

Sheffield Hallam University (SHU) is a modern University and it had a long history since 19^th century. SHU is one of the most innovative and progressive university in UK and it is a multicultural education institution.

There are more than over 4000 international students that come over from 100 countries which include Malaysia study in SHU.

SHU also provide more than 100 diverse courses such as banking and finance, business, engineering, IT, journalism, digital media production, physiotherapy and more.

This year, 1300 students Tarucian from Malaysia study top up course Advanced Diploma to a UK honours degree in Sheffield. The amount is increase compare with last few years.

SHU has a long standing relationship with TARC and there are a wide variety of opportunities for TARC students to study in Sheffield Hallam University.

According to Jacob Tie Tong Seng, one of the student in Taruc study BA Hons Mechanical Engineering in SHU said it is a good experience to study at oversea because SHU had advance technology and well plan education system.

He also said that SHU had variety of meachine and technology he never see when he studies in Malaysia.

A research express that Sheffield has come second in a list of the most peaceful urban areas in the UK.

A peaceful environment of a city might always attract international students to study in that city.

‘I think SHU is a good place to study. First, the environment is peaceful which is perfect for study environment and the people here are friendly.’ said Elvin, BA Hons Acoounting Students.

Student prefer lecturer that have more interactive with them and they are enjoy in this way.

According to Ezard Lee, BA Hons Accounting and Finance students said the way that lecture or tutor in SHU is slightly different compare with Malaysia as they are much more helpful and more interactive with students.

Sheffield Hallam Univeristy offer special reduced tuition fees exclusive for Tarucian to having Summer Semester Programme, Continuation Masters Programmes, Two Year Progression Degree Programmes, and Progression from TARC Advanced Diploma to postgraduate courses.
